Casa Tortuga is a two storey pale pink vacation villa featuring five bedrooms and a one bedroom guest house adjacent to elegant the two storied structure. There are a couple of large bedrooms on the second floor while three are housed at the beach level .All rooms feature huge king canopy beds. The guest house on the other hand has a king sized bed in the bedroom and queen sized sofa bed in the living room. Every floor has five large arches and a 60 foot long veranda where guests can bask in the tropical sun and breeze of the region.  The guest house has a Jacuzzi tub and roof garden where guests can enjoy spectacular vistas of the island. Casa Tortuga boasts of featuring the largest private pool in Belize which has a fascinating eight foot horse-shaped bronze fountain from Versailles and a booth on one end  for a heady “in pool” dining experience. Encircling the pool is a big lanai where guests can hang around for post meal conversations.

The villa not just offers the area’s largest pool, it also has the longest beach stretch in San Pablo measuring some 250feet along the Caribbean Coast.  On the beach guests will come across an intriguingly large chess set from Neiman Marcus.  It is fun playing chess with this set where the King and Queen are not just a few inches high; but actually three feet tall. Villa Tortuga has a resident cook, Maria who together with her assistant is always available when guests come to whip up fresh, delectable meals three times a day. Her meals are not just fresh and delicious but also impressively presented.

You will be delighted by the exquisite china, crystal dinner ware and floral center pieces that are painstakingly set for every meal. Guests can explore the island and go on excursions and other activities assisted by Carlos, the Villa’s friendly and knowledgeable multi-lingual guide.  Carlos briefs all guests on the evening of their arrival about activities available in the area. Guests wanting to explore the island are picked up at the Villa’s private dock by guides. Villa Tortuga offers guests the best of San Pablo, while also not weighing very heavily on their pocket.

If you want to enjoy a laid back and relaxed vacation, that is enjoyable, stimulating and adventure packed, this may be one of the best accommodation options. You’re in a beautiful, peaceful location yet have access to all the town’s attractions and amenities. Guests can wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys while enjoying their morning cup of coffee or simply unwind with a bestseller on the hammock. If you’re bitten by the adventure bug, go on a hike to the adjacent areas to enjoy the best of Costa Rica’s natural resources and weather. This is a great place for families looking for some shared adventure moments and large groups of nature/ adventure enthusiasts.
