Malpais and Santa Teresa Hotels

This part of Costa Rica is known for its small hotels, which range from dirt cheap hotel shacks on the beach to high end bungalows. There are no giant resorts near here, and we like it that way! The prices vary from $10 to $500+ per night.

Please be good to the hotel owners and staff. Owning a hotel is a common business option for people who have decided to change their lives and move to Costa Rica. It can be a 24-hr job, 7 days a week. Please take care of your hotel room as if it was your own home. Tipping of the cleaning staff is not expected, but much appreciated.
