Casa Pelicano was built in early 2006. The house is 2400 sq ft, and has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, an ample kitchen and living room area, covered parking, and a very comfortable terrace. The house is furnished with typical handmade Costa Rican wicker furniture. The master bedroom offers a queen size bed, closet with a safe and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, closet space and a bathroom next door. New Honeymoon Suite - built to high-end standards with marble floor. The kitchen is equipped for cooking; it has a refrigerator with ice maker, a 4 burner gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, blender and all the necessary utensils. The living room is a very nice place to relax. You can read a book or watch TV in the oversize sofas. The house has A/C and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen/living room area. The terrace is the best spot in the house. It's surrounded by beautiful mature tropical gardens, on its own private ½ acre lot with colorful flowers, cactus, almond trees, palms and a grass lawn. There's a small pool for you to refresh, an outdoor shower for rinsing off the beach sand, and an outdoor gas grill as well. Casa Pelicano is 1.2 km from the town center and right in the middle of Santa Teresa beach. The white sand beach is a 150 yard or quick 2 minute walk from the terrace. You'll see beautiful sunsets right in front of the property, especially in the summer (Nov.-may). The surf in this area of Costa Rica is amazing. The water temperature is 80+ degrees all year round. Low tide is the perfect time to walk on the beach or to jog, or simply take a grass matt to the beach and get a suntan. Santa Teresa is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. The house is part of a private gated community of four houses on a beachfront lot of 1.6 hectares (4 acres) in a residential neighborhood. It's private and secure. In addition, Casa Pelicano has an ADT alarm system and a safe. Within less than a 10 minute drive you'll find several hotels,restaurants and supermarkets. The house accommodates 8 people non-smoking.
