Star Mountain Lodge

An Intimate Jungle Lodge in Mal Pais, Costa Rica…

Bed and Breakfasts are incredibly popular around Costa Rica, as many tourists now gravitate more toward boutique inns that have intimate features and an excellent display of what the locale has to offer.  The Star Mountain Eco Lodge provide quite a special type of accommodation because you can expect so much more than just comfortable beds and satisfying breakfast meals.

This jungle lodge is nestled in a 90 hectare private reserve that sits right next to the Cabo Blanco National Park.  Guests who are coming from Santa Teresa only have to travel 15 minutes to get to the Star Mountain Lodge, so it is accessible as it is spectacular.

What to Expect

Since this Bed and Breakfast is strategically located, it offers a number of features that you cannot expect to find in most eco lodges around the general area.  Some of the things guests can look forward to include (but are not limited to) the following:

1.4 Mile Jungle Trail

For nature lovers who are also fond of exploring the great outdoors, this lodge is perhaps one of the best places to stay when in Mal Pais.  The long and vast jungle trail allows for bird watching (there are hundreds of various species of rare birds in this area alone that would certainly attract ornithology enthusiasts), hiking, trekking, and camping.

The Costa Rican wildlife is really something to behold and it is properly showcased by the surroundings of the Star Mountain Jungle Lodge.  The trail is a living testament to how notoriously Costa Rica has cared for its environment, particularly its natural resources.

Horseback Riding Tours

Exploring Cost Rica in style can be done by getting a horseback riding tour with friends and/or family.  The tours are properly guided and guests are able to really see the amazing sights up close as opposed to taking a car to drive around the area.  The horses are trained and friendly so even first-time riders need not worry.

Jacuzzi, Swimming Pool, and Other Amenities for Relaxation

Most people expect Bed and Breakfasts to provide only the most basic features, i.e. rooms and morning meals.  Star Mountain Lodge, however, has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and Yoga Shala (for those who want to keep up with their Yoga regimen while on vacation).

In addition, the Lodge has its own WiFi internet connection for guests who want to stay connected (or at least have the option to stay connected) to the rest of the world while on vacation.  Guests can bring their own laptops/tablets/smartphones and use the WiFi  for their own purposes.

Wonderfully Intimate and Quiet Surroundings

This Eco Lodge only has five guest bedrooms, which means you are not likely to run into so many people during your stay.  In addition, the immediate vicinity is very tranquil, which makes the place quite conducive for unwinding and deep relaxation.  If you want to get away from the busy and frazzled nature of the big city, this is one of the best places to stay in Costa Rica.
